Currently available at Bows and Arrows for $98.00 and $80.00 respectively is the newest collaboration from the respected Seattle workwear/outdoor wear company Filson. Just recently Filson launched their collaboration with the world famous Levi Strauss and Co. using denim to recreate some of Filson's most cherished items and using tin cloth to recreate Levi's well-known Type 3 Trucker jacket (check out The Pursuit Aesthetic for the low down or head over to the Ace Hotel in New York or Seattle to see it in person).
This time Filson has teamed up with Vans to recreate two styles in the Vans Vault line using Filson's tin cloth and bridle leather, the Sk8-Hi, my favorite of the two, and the 46 LX. The shoes definitely have a different feel from the Southern California surf scene that most of their shoes seem to be categorized as. And with a pair of hiking boot laces for the Sk8-Hi's I don't see how you can go wrong this fall.
